Zodiac HST C separates benzylamines using an easily adjustable HPLC method that offers precise retention control. The retention times and peak order of benzylamine, N-methylbenzylamine, and N,N-dimethylbenzylamine can be significantly modified by varying the water/acetonitrile (MeCN, ACN) ratio in the mobile phase. These changes influence the balance of cation exchange, complex formation, and hydrophobic interactions. Separation is achieved using a mobile phase composed of water, acetonitrile, and triethylamine (TEA) phosphate, with UV detection at 210 nm.
