Separation of Vitamin E and Vitamin E Acetate on Zodiac HST B Column

The Zodiac HST B column efficiently separates Vitamin E and Vitamin E acetate with a reversed peak order compared to traditional C8 columns. This unique selectivity is attributed to the embedded basic functional group in the stationary phase, enabling polar interactions. The method achieves excellent peak shapes with a mass spec-compatible mobile phase of water and acetonitrile (MeCN) and UV detection at 205 nm.
