Description
This application illustrates the effective retention and separation of two structurally related tetracycline-class antibiotics, Tetracycline and Minocycline hydrochloride, using the Zodiac HST OG mixed-mode stationary phase. The analysis was performed under isocratic conditions with a mobile phase composed of 50% acetonitrile and 50% water, using 0.5% sulfuric acid (H₂SO₄) as the buffer. A flow rate of 1.0 mL/min was maintained throughout the run. Detection was achieved at UV wavelengths of 200 nm and 270 nm, demonstrating excellent resolution between the two compounds. This method highlights the column’s ability to separate closely related polar antibiotic compounds with high efficiency and sharp peak shape.
