Separation of Quaternary Amines on Zodiac HST C

Home Separation of Quaternary Amines on Zodiac HST C

Description

Zodiac HST C separates a mixture of quaternary amines through a combination of cation exchange, complex formation, and hydrophobic interactions. Methyltriethylammonium, tetraethylammonium, and tetramethylammonium cations, along with the bromide counterion, are separated using a short 50 mm column. The separation is carried out with a mobile phase consisting of water, acetonitrile (MeCN, ACN), and triethylamine acetate, with detection by evaporative light scattering (ELSD).
