Description
allo-D-Isoleucine and L-Isoleucine, structurally similar amino acid isomers, were successfully separated using a Zodiac HST OG2 mixed-mode column (4.6 × 150 mm, 5 µm, 100 Å). The method employed a mobile phase of acetonitrile (MeCN) and water with TFA and formic acid (FA) as ion-pairing modifiers. Detection was carried out using a Charged Aerosol Detector (CAD), and the method is compatible with mass spectrometry (MS). This setup enables efficient separation of closely related chiral amino acids.
