Retention of Tranexamic acid (TXA) on Zodiac HST OG Column

Tranexamic acid (TXA), a highly polar antifibrinolytic agent, was successfully retained on the Zodiac HST OG column (4.6 × 150 mm, 5 μm) using a mobile phase of acetonitrile and water (20:80, v/v) with 0.2% perchloric acid. The strong acidic buffer improved retention and peak shape by suppressing ionization of TXA. The method operated at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min with UV detection at 210 nm, offering reliable and reproducible retention suitable for pharmaceutical quality control.
