Retention and Separation of Antiviral Drugs Using Zodiac HST OG Column

Home Retention and Separation of Antiviral Drugs Using Zodiac HST OG Column

Description

This application demonstrates the effective separation of three antiviral medications—Acyclovir, Valacyclovir, and Oseltamivir—using the Zodiac HST OG mixed-mode stationary phase column. The analysis utilizes a gradient of sulfuric acid buffer (0.05% to 0.8%) in a MeCN/H₂O (30/70%) mobile phase. The use of a gradually increasing buffer concentration allows fine-tuned control over compound retention. A 3.2 × 100 mm, 5 µm column was used with a flow rate of 0.5 mL/min and UV detection at 255 nm. This method highlights the versatility of the Zodiac HST OG column in resolving structurally and functionally distinct antiviral compounds under mixed-mode chromatography conditions.
