Description
A novel method for analyzing copper ions in high-salt matrices was developed using EDTA as a visualization agent. Copper ions form UV-detectable colored complexes with EDTA, allowing for selective detection, while other cations that do not form colored complexes pass through the column undetected. This selective analysis was performed using the Zodiac HST SB mixed-mode column. The method enables sensitive detection of copper ions at parts-per-million (ppm) levels, even in complex sample matrices.
