HPLC Separation of Surfynol 420

Surfynol, a non-ionic surfactant, is widely used in waterborne industrial coatings, paper coatings, and packaging inks for indirect food contact. The Surfynol 400 series offers an excellent balance of wetting, defoaming, and dispersion properties, with Surfynol 420 being the most effective for wetting and defoaming. Analysis of Surfynol 420 is performed on the Zodiac HST C column under UV, ELSD, and LC/MS-compatible conditions. This method provides a fast, reliable solution for analyzing ionic and non-ionic surfactants and coatings.
