HPLC Separation of Saccharin and Sorbitol on Zodiac HST- S3 Column

Sorbitol and saccharin, common sugar substitutes in food and beverages, were separated on a Zodiac HST S3 column using a HILIC mode with acetonitrile/water and ammonium formate buffer. Detection was achieved using both UV and ELSD. The method is fully compatible with LC/MS and suitable for routine analysis of sweeteners in complex matrices.
