HPLC Separation of Organics Acids on Zodiac HST RP Column

Home HPLC Separation of Organics Acids on Zodiac HST RP Column

Description

Zodiac HST RP mixed-mode column effectively separates a range of organic acids, including fumaric, benzoic, phthalic, naphthoic, and maleic acids, through a combination of anion-exchange and reversed-phase retention mechanisms.

Unlike traditional ion-exchange or ion-exclusion chromatography, the retention times and elution order of these compounds can be easily modified by adjusting the percentage of acetonitrile in the mobile phase.

The HPLC method utilizes a mobile phase composed of water, acetonitrile (MeCN/ACN), and trifluoroacetic acid (TFA), with UV detection at 250 nm, providing flexible and efficient separation of structurally related organic acids.
