HPLC Separation of Organic Acids Glucuronic Acid, Methanesulfonic Acid, and Butanesulfonic Acid on Zodiac HST-SB Column

Glucuronic acid, methanesulfonic acid, and butanesulfonic acid—three organic acids—were successfully separated using the Zodiac HST SB mixed-mode column. This column features a reversed-phase stationary phase with embedded basic ion-pairing groups, enabling effective retention and separation of highly polar acidic compounds through a combination of reversed-phase and ion-exchange mechanisms.
