HPLC Separation of Antibiotics On Zodiac HST- OG2 Column

Home HPLC Separation of Antibiotics On Zodiac HST- OG2 Column

Description

Antibiotics, especially those containing sulfanilamide structures, are commonly used to combat bacterial infections. These compounds can be effectively separated using Zodiac HST OG2, a mixed-mode column with weak acidic ion-pairing groups. Using a gradient mobile phase of acetonitrile (ACN) or methanol (MeOH), water, and sulfuric acid (H₂SO₄) buffer, the antibiotics show good resolution with UV detection at 275 nm.
