HPLC- MS Method for Analysis of Ketamine on Zodiac HST OG Column

Ketamine is an anesthetic and analgesic with NMDA receptor antagonist properties, widely used in human and veterinary medicine. It is also explored for rapid-acting antidepressant effects but is a controlled substance due to potential misuse and hallucinogenic effects.

Analytical Method:

Ketamine can be retained and analyzed using a Zodiac HST OG mixed-mode stationary phase column with an isocratic mobile phase comprising water, acetonitrile (MeCN), and ammonium formate buffer. Detection is performed using UV at 269 nm, ELSD, or other evaporative detection techniques like CAD or ESI-MS.
