HPLC Method for Separation of Pyridoxine and Doxylamine on Zodiac HST S1 Column
HomeHPLC Method for Separation of Pyridoxine and Doxylamine on Zodiac HST S1 Column
Description
Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) is an essential nutrient necessary for red blood cell production and healthy nerve function. Doxylamine, commonly used as a sleep aid, is also prescribed in combination with pyridoxine to manage morning sickness during pregnancy.
Both Pyridoxine and Doxylamine can be efficiently retained, separated, and analyzed using the Zodiac HST S1 normal-phase mixed-mode column. The isocratic HPLC method utilizes a mobile phase consisting of water, acetonitrile (MeCN), and ammonium formate buffer. Detection is performed in the low UV range at 270 nm, ensuring reliable quantitation of both compounds.
