HPLC Method for Separation of Glutathione oxidized and S-Nitroso-L-glutathione on Zodiac HST-OG2 Column

Home HPLC Method for Separation of Glutathione oxidized and S-Nitroso-L-glutathione on Zodiac HST-OG2 Column

Description

S-Nitroso-L-glutathione (GSNO) is a nitric oxide donor involved in cellular signaling via S-nitrosylation, while oxidized glutathione (GSSG) reflects cellular oxidative stress, formed by disulfide bonding of two GSH molecules. Both are critical in redox regulation and cellular defense.

GSNO and GSSG can be retained, separated, and analyzed using a Zodiac HST OG2 column (3.2 × 100 mm, 5 µm, 100 Å) with an isocratic method. The mobile phase includes water, acetonitrile (MeCN), and sulfuric acid as a buffer, suitable for UV-based detection.
