HPLC Method for Separation of Ambroxol, Guaifenesin and Terbutaline Sulfate on Zodiac HST- OG2 Column

Home HPLC Method for Separation of Ambroxol, Guaifenesin and Terbutaline Sulfate on Zodiac HST- OG2 Column

Description

Terbutaline Sulfate (a β₂-agonist cough suppressant), Guaifenesin (an expectorant for chest congestion), and Ambroxol (a mucolytic) are commonly co-formulated in cough syrups. These compounds can be effectively retained and separated on a Zodiac HST OG2 mixed-mode column using an isocratic method with a mobile phase of water, acetonitrile (MeCN), and phosphoric acid (H₃PO₄). Detection is performed in the low UV range at 210 nm, allowing for precise quantification in multi-ingredient formulations.
