Description
Vecuronium bromide, also known as Norcuron, is a muscle relaxant commonly used during surgery, intubation, and executions. HPLC methods for analyzing Vecuronium are of significant interest to pharmaceutical research and industry. Vecuronium bromide can be separated and retained on the mixed-mode stationary phase Zodiac HST SB column, which features embedded strong basic ion-pairing groups. The separation is achieved using a simple isocratic method with a mobile phase composed of water, acetonitrile (MeCN), and ammonium formate (AmFm) as an ionic modifier. This method provides high resolution and excellent peak symmetry, with UV detection at 260 nm, and is fully compatible with mass spectrometry (MS), ELSD, and CAD detection.
