Ketoconazole, commonly known by the brand name Nizoral, is an antifungal agent widely used in the treatment of dandruff and is typically formulated as a shampoo.

Analytical Method:
Ketoconazole can be effectively retained and analyzed using a Zodiac HST B reverse-phase column. The analysis is performed using a gradient method with a mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile (MeCN), water, and sulfuric acid as the ionic modifier. Detection is carried out using UV at 200 nm, delivering high resolution and excellent peak symmetry.
