Description

Vicodin, a combination of Acetaminophen (APAP) and Hydrocodone, is a widely prescribed analgesic used for moderate to severe pain relief. The two act synergistically—APAP as a non-opioid analgesic and Hydrocodone as an opioid receptor agonist.

The Zodiac HST OG2 column (3.2 × 100 mm, 5 µm, 100 Å), with its mixed-mode selectivity, enables efficient resolution of both compounds:

• Mobile Phase: Gradient of MeCN (5–50%)

• Buffer: Gradient H₃PO₄ (0.05–0.3%) over 5 minutes, 4-minute hold

• Flow Rate: 0.5 mL/min

• Detection: UV @ 270 nm
