HPLC Method for Analysis of Principen (Ampicillin) Using Zodiac HST- OG2 Column

Home HPLC Method for Analysis of Principen (Ampicillin) Using Zodiac HST- OG2 Column

Description

Ampicillin, a β-lactam antibiotic, is efficiently separated using the Zodiac HST OG2  mixed-mode column, which offers both reverse-phase and ion-exchange interactions. A gradient of acetonitrile and phosphoric acid (H₃PO₄) enables excellent resolution and peak shape. The acidic buffer suppresses ionic tailing and enhances analyte elution . UV detection at 270 nm provides sensitive and selective monitoring of Ampicillin, making this method ideal for pharmaceutical analysis in QC and formulation labs .
