HPLC Method for Analysis of Fluoxetine on Zodiac HST- OG2 Column

Fluoxetine, an SSRI used to treat depression, OCD, bulimia, and PMDD, was analyzed using the Zodiac HST OG2 mixed-mode column (3.2 × 100 mm). A dual-gradient method was applied: MeCN 20–60% and H₃PO₄ 0.05–0.3% over 5 minutes with a 4-minute hold. Detection was performed at UV 270 nm with a 100 µL injection. The column’s mixed-mode retention provided excellent peak shape and selectivity for this basic compound, making the method suitable for pharmaceutical analysis.
