Description

Evogliptin is an oral antidiabetic agent that belongs to the class of dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors. It is primarily used for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. DPP-4 inhibitors function by inhibiting the DPP-4 enzyme, which leads to increased levels of incretin hormones such as GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1). These hormones help regulate blood glucose by enhancing insulin secretion and suppressing glucagon release.

Evogliptin can be effectively retained and analyzed using the Zodiac HST B mixed-mode stationary phase column. The method involves a simple isocratic mobile phase composed of water, acetonitrile (MeCN), and sulfuric acid as a buffer. UV detection at 200 nm enables sensitive and reliable quantification, making the method suitable for routine pharmaceutical analysis.
