Home HPLC Method for Analysis of Carnosine (beta-alanyl-L-histidine) on Zodiac HST OG Column

Description

Carnosine is a naturally occurring dipeptide composed of beta-alanine and histidine, known for its pH-buffering and antioxidant properties in muscle tissue. It can be effectively retained and analyzed using the mixed-mode Zodiac HST OG column. The analysis is performed with a mobile phase comprising water, acetonitrile (MeCN), and trifluoroacetic acid (TFA). This method offers high-resolution separation with excellent peak symmetry and is suitable for UV detection at 215 nm.
