HPLC Determination of Tramadol in Tablets on Zodiac HST- OG2 Column

Home HPLC Determination of Tramadol in Tablets on Zodiac HST- OG2 Column

Description

Tramadol, an opioid analgesic commonly used to treat moderate to severe pain, can be effectively analyzed in pharmaceutical tablet formulations using the Zodiac HST OG2 mixed-mode column. The method employs an isocratic mobile phase of 30% acetonitrile (MeCN) and 70% water, buffered with 0.1% phosphoric acid (H₃PO₄), ensuring optimal retention and resolution. Chromatographic separation is achieved at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min, with UV detection at 216 nm. This method offers accurate and reproducible quantification of tramadol with excellent peak shape and selectivity.
