HPLC Determination of Cyclopropanecarboxylic Acid on Zodiac HST B Column

Cyclopropanecarboxylic acid, a small cyclic carboxylic acid often used as a synthetic intermediate in pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals, can be effectively separated and analyzed using a Zodiac HST B reverse-phase mixed-mode column. The method provides high resolution and reliable peak shape for accurate quantification of this polar, low molecular weight acid. The mixed-mode functionality of the column enables excellent retention and selectivity under isocratic or gradient conditions with a suitable aqueous-organic mobile phase and an acidic buffer.
