HPLC Analysis of Drugs in Advil Allergy and Sinus

Home HPLC Analysis of Drugs in Advil Allergy and Sinus

Description

Chlorpheniramine, ibuprofen, pseudoephedrine, and maleic acid—key ingredients in cold/flu medications like Advil and NyQuil—are separated on the Zodiac HST TH mixed-mode column via reversed-phase, cation- and anion-exchange mechanisms. The method offers excellent resolution and peak shape for hydrophilic and hydrophobic acidic/basic drugs and counter-ions. It’s suitable for QC, R&D, and impurity profiling, and compatible with UV, ELSD, and LC/MS using ammonium formate or other volatile buffers.
