Diphanamid Separation on Zodiac HST TH Column

Diphenamid is a pre-emergence herbicide commonly used in the cultivation of tobacco, groundnuts, and tomatoes. To achieve effective retention and separation from impurities, both Zodiac HST TH and Zodiac HST B2 columns were employed. Zodiac HST B2 features embedded basic ion-pairing groups for enhanced interaction with acidic analytes, while Zodiac HST TH offers mixed-mode capabilities through its embedded ionic groups and hydrophobic chain, allowing for fine-tuned separations.

The method is fully LC/MS compatible and serves as a reliable, general approach for analyzing diphenamid and a wide range of other pesticide compounds.
