High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Method of N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine

Description

High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Method of N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine

N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (NAC) is the N-acetylated form of the naturally occurring amino acid L-cysteine. It can be effectively retained using the Zodiac HST SB reverse-phase (RP) mixed-mode column, which incorporates embedded strong basic ion-pairing groups. An isocratic HPLC method employing a simple mobile phase of water, acetonitrile (MeCN, ACN), and phosphoric acid (H₃PO₄) buffer enables efficient separation. Detection is carried out by UV at 200 nm.
