Carbofuran Separation on Zodiac HST TH Column

Carbofuran is an extremely toxic insecticide formerly used on field crops. Due to its high toxicity, it has been banned in Europe, Canada, and the United States since 2009. The EURL listed carbofuran as a target pesticide in the EUPT-CF9 proficiency test. For chromatographic analysis, the Zodiac HST TH column is utilized to retain carbofuran and separate it from associated impurities. This column features embedded ionic and hydrophobic groups within the stationary phase, enabling precise control over separation parameters. The method is LC/MS compatible and offers a reliable strategy for the analysis of carbofuran and other phenoxy acid compounds.
