Analysis of Metoprolol in Tablets on Zodiac HST- OG2 Column

Description

Metoprolol, a beta-blocker used to treat high blood pressure and heart-related conditions, can be effectively analyzed using the Zodiac HST OG2 mixed-mode column. The HPLC method uses an isocratic mobile phase of acetonitrile (MeCN) and water (50:50) with 0.5% phosphoric acid (H₃PO₄) as a buffer. The flow rate is maintained at 1.0 mL/min. Detection is carried out using UV at 223 nm, offering sharp peak symmetry and reliable quantification.
