Analysis of Isoproturon on Zodiac HST OG

Isoproturon is a phenylurea herbicide primarily used to control annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in cereal crops such as wheat and barley. It inhibits photosynthesis in target plants, ultimately leading to their death. Absorbed through the roots and shoots, Isoproturon is most effective when applied before or during the early stages of weed growth.

Isoproturon can be retained, separated, and analyzed using a Zodiac HST OG mixed-mode stationary phase column. The analysis follows an isocratic method with a simple mobile phase consisting of water, acetonitrile (MeCN), and sulfuric acid as a buffer, with detection performed using UV at 200 nm.
