Home Analysis of Glutathione reduced (GSH) on Zodiac HST OG Column

Description

L-Glutathione (GSH) is a tripeptide composed of L-glutamic acid, L-cysteine, and glycine. It functions as a powerful antioxidant, protecting cells from oxidative stress by neutralizing free radicals. The thiol group in cysteine enables its redox activity, and glutathione reductase maintains it in its reduced form. Apart from antioxidant defense, GSH plays key roles in detoxification, immune support, and enzyme regulation.

Chromatographic Analysis:

L-Glutathione can be retained and analyzed using a Zodiac HST OG reverse-phase column (4.6 x 150 mm, 5 µm, 100 Å) with a mobile phase of water, acetonitrile (MeCN), and sulfuric acid as a buffer. UV detection is performed at 200 nm, and LOD varies by laboratory conditions.
