Analysis of Antibiotic Tylosin and Related Impurities in Mixed-Mode Chromatography

Home Analysis of Antibiotic Tylosin and Related Impurities in Mixed-Mode Chromatography

Description

Tylosin is a macrolide antibiotic with broad-spectrum activity against both gram-positive and gram-negative organisms. As a highly polar and basic compound, it exhibits limited retention on traditional reversed-phase columns. To address this, Zodiac HST TH, a trimodal column with embedded ionic and hydrophobic functionalities, was used for the effective retention and separation of tylosin and its related impurities. The method is compatible with both LC/MS and preparative chromatography, making it suitable for the analysis of tylosin in various biofluids.
