Description
Aniline is an aromatic amine used in the production of dyes, rubber chemicals, polyurethane foam, and pharmaceuticals. It is produced by reducing or catalytically hydrogenating nitrobenzene. Aniline is toxic and can cause methemoglobinemia.
It can be retained and analyzed using a Zodiac HST OG mixed-mode column with an isocratic method employing water, acetonitrile (MeCN), and sulfuric acid as a buffer, with UV detection at 200 nm.
