Analysis of Biuret on Zodiac HST S1

Biuret (C₂H₅N₃O₂), a white crystalline compound formed by the condensation of two urea molecules, is widely used in biochemistry for protein assays like the biuret test. With its polar functional groups, biuret is highly water-soluble.

Biuret can be retained and analyzed using the Zodiac HST S1 mixed-mode stationary phase column. The isocratic method employs a mobile phase of water, acetonitrile (MeCN), and phosphoric acid buffer, enabling UV detection at 200 nm.
