HPLC Separation of Folpet on Obelisc and Zodiac Mixed-Mode Zodiac HST B2 Column

Folpet is a nonsystemic fungicide commonly used to prevent diseases like apple scab, cherry leaf spot, rose black spot, and rose mildew. The European Union Reference Laboratory (EURL-SRM) developed a method for folpet as part of a proficiency test for single residue methods.

Folpet is retained and separated from impurities using Obelisc R and Zodiac HST B2 columns. Zodiac HST B2 features embedded basic ion-pairing groups, while Obelisc R incorporates ionic and hydrophobic groups, enhancing the precision of separations. This method is LC/MS compatible and can be applied to the analysis of numerous other pesticides.
