HPLC Seperation of Active Drug in a Formulation

Home HPLC Seperation of Active Drug in a Formulation

Description

An HPLC method was developed for the separation of active ingredients in drug and supplement formulations using the Zodiac HST TH trimodal column. Retention is achieved through a combination of reversed-phase, cation-exchange, and anion-exchange mechanisms. The method provides excellent resolution and is suitable for the quantitation of pyridoxine, ascorbic acid, niacinamide, pantothenic acid, caffeine, and riboflavin, either as a mixture or as individual components in complex matrices.

A variety of detection techniques can be employed, including ELSD, UV, LC/MS, and Corona CAD. This HPLC approach offers a robust, versatile platform for the analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients across a wide range of formulations.
