HPLC Separation of Aromatic Boronic Acids on Zodiac HST- P1 Column

Home HPLC Separation of Aromatic Boronic Acids on Zodiac HST- P1 Column

Description

Boronic acids, which are alkyl- or aryl-substituted derivatives of boric acid, have the unique ability to form complexes with sugars, amines, and amino acids. Using the Zodiac HST P1 mixed-mode reversed-phase cation-exchange column, four aromatic boronic acids were successfully separated.

The Zodiac HST P1 column contains an aromatic functionality that enables π-π interactions, enhancing selectivity for aromatic compounds. Detection can be performed using UV, ELSD, CAD, or LC/MS, and a variety of mobile phases can be used depending on analytical needs. This method provides flexibility and sensitivity for boronic acid analysis.
