HPLC Method For Analysis of B-Cyclodextrin and Hydroxypropyl B-Cyclodextrin on Zodiac HST S2 Column

Home HPLC Method For Analysis of B-Cyclodextrin and Hydroxypropyl B-Cyclodextrin on Zodiac HST S2 Column

Description

The chromatogram displays the separation of Hydroxypropyl β-Cyclodextrin and β-Cyclodextrin using a Zodiac HST S2 column under reversed-phase conditions. The mobile phase consists of acetonitrile and water in a 70:30 ratio, with no buffer added. The compounds were detected using an Evaporative Light Scattering Detector (ELSD) set at 40°C. Hydroxypropyl β-Cyclodextrin eluted at approximately 4.2 minutes, while β-Cyclodextrin eluted at around 5.1 minutes, indicating good resolution between the two analytes. The method was run at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min using a 4.6 × 150 mm, 5 µm column, providing an efficient and effective analysis of the cyclodextrins.
